Salad Formula

*Salads are just buddha bowls (aka balance bowls) with more leafy greens! Turn any buddha bowl into a salad by putting it over a base of leafy greens.

*Make any salad into a mason jar salad by putting dressing in the jar first, followed by solid ingredients, and adding less solid ingredients until you add leafy greens to the top. This travels well and you can shake it up or pour it upside down into a bowl!

Base (Leafy Green):

  • Kale

  • Spinach

  • Arugula

  • Lettuce

  • Mixed Greens

Toppings:

  • Raw Veggies

  • Roasted Veggies

  • Whole Grain

  • Fruit

  • Nuts

  • Seeds

  • Dehydrated Fruit

  • Raisins / Dried Cranberries

  • Croutons

  • Pasta

  • Oil + Vinegar + Spices / Herbs

  • Oil + Lemon or Lime + Spices / Herbs

  • Avocado + Lemon or Lime + Spices / Herbs

How To:

  1. Clean and chop leafy greens. Prepare toppings and dressing. Add toppings and dressing. Enjoy my favorite salad recipes!
