Flavored Tempeh

Ingredients:

  • 1 8 oz Pack Of Original Tempeh (I prefer Lightlife brand)

  • Flavoring Of Choice:

    1. Hot Sauce

    2. BBQ Sauce

    3. Bacon Flavor: 3 TBSP Coconut Aminos, 2 ½ TBSP Pure Maple Syrup, 1 ½ tsp Liquid Smoke, 1 pinch Salt, ½ tsp Garlic Powder, ½ tsp Smoked Paprika, ½ tsp Black Pepper

    4. Cinnamon Maple: 2 TBSP Pure Maple Syrup, 1 tsp Cinnamon

How To:

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut a block of tempeh into ⅛ inch strips.

  2. Choose flavoring and pour sauce or mix ingredients in a bowl.

  3. Add tempeh slices to the bowl to sit and marinate for anywhere from 1-15 minutes.

  4. Transfer tempeh and sauce to a pan over low heat and allow tempeh to cook on each side for about 8 minutes each.

  5. Serve and enjoy!

  • Hot sauce tempeh on an almond flour wrap with avocado and leafy greens

  • BBQ sauce tempeh with sauteed onions, bell peppers, and pineapple served over rice

  • BBQ sauce tempeh on a salad

  • Bacon flavored tempeh on a breakfast sandwich or avocado toast

  • Cinnamon maple tempeh with fruit and nuts

  • Cinnamon maple tempeh on paleo pancakes
