Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (OR Ground Beef)

  • 1 Jar Teriyaki Sauce (I recommend Primal Kitchen’s)

  • 1/2 Cup Cashews

  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup (add more if desired)

  • 1 Red Onion

  • 1 Red Bell Pepper

  • 1/2 Bunch Cilantro

  • Lettuce Cups

  • Juice of Limes

How To:

1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees.

2. Mix the cashews and maple syrup in a bowl and then spread on a baking sheet.

3. When the oven is preheated, bake the walnuts for 20 minutes. Once golden, remove and allow to cool.

4. On a pan over low to medium heat, add the ground meat and cook until browned. Drain the grease and add 1/2 of the teriyaki sauce. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.

5. In the meantime, chop up the red onion and red bell pepper.

6. Add to a separate pan over low to medium heat with the other 1/2 of the teriyaki sauce. Saute until cooked through (About 10 mins)

7. Chop up the cilantro, cut up the limes, and prepare the lettuce cups.

8. Assemble the wraps by scooping the ground meat, then topping with peppers and onions, candied cashews, lime juice, and cilantro. Enjoy!
